I wanted to familiarise myself with The Khromatic Plains so I made various concepts to show my vision of the world and its bipolar nature.
In this concept, I wanted to represent the utter beauty of the perfect world. I used extremely vibrant and contrasting colours. I wanted to make the painting feel as if it was completed on paper, I did this by using different textured brushes that helped create a water coloured feeling. I also represented the vastness of the world by showing the distant lake and mountains. The deer on the foreground is supposed to be made from paper, I tried to replicate the feeling of paper by adding a texture using a brush on photoshop. I also added a drop shadow to each body part as this makes the deer look as if it is sitting atop a painting. I was inspired by Bob Ross as he would created these vast landscape paintings.

For this piece, I wanted to represent the unfinished world. It is a mirrored version of the previous piece to show how equal yet opposite they are within this world. The creature coming out from the ink lake is unformed which was to represent how they will evolve and merge with the colour rich world. I made the mountains look like a ripped lined page, these mountains separate the worlds. I added smudge marks and coffee stains to the page as this world isn't as cared for as the perfect world.

In this landscape piece, I wanted to represent the imperfect world's want to be noticed and how they will rise up soon. I drew a greyscale tree as I think it would be something that an artist would doodle in their sketchbook. The tree sits atop a mountain of ink, the mountain is so high up that the perfect world is visible over the ripped page mountains.
In this piece I wanted to demonstrate the different art styles that could be found within the perfect world. I made this tunnel of trees to show the micro elements of the world. Because the world is picture-esque, I wanted to create small scenarios that are in the world, instead of just large landscapes.
